Jim Epsilantis Named General Manager of B&W’s Palm Beach Resource Recovery Corporation

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) recently announced Jim Epsilantis has been named general manager of the company’s Palm Beach Resource Recovery Corporation (PBRRC) subsidiary, which provides operations and maintenance services for two B&W-built waste-to-energy plants in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Jim brings more than 29 years of experience in the power and energy industry with over 17 years specifically working in the waste-to-energy industry. Most recently, he was plant manager with Wheelabrator Technologies, where he was responsible for operations, maintenance, environmental health & safety and financial performance of its South Broward, Fla. facility – a 2,250 ton-per-day WTE plant.
Prior to that, Jim held several roles of increasing responsibility in Wheelabrator’s North Broward facility, including plant manager. He also has held positions with Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company and Trigen Energy. He attended the Calhoon MEBA Engineering School and earned a merchant marine engineer license with the U.S. Coast Guard.
He also holds QRO Certification for Resource Recovery Facility Operators from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
